Wembley Stadium overview

Wembley is England's 90,000-seat national stadium. It hosts England matches, domestic cup finals, concerts, NFL games and other major events, so the seating and access plan can change significantly. Start with the current event page, then match its block, level, coloured zone and turnstile to this guide.

Wembley Stadium seating plan and best seats

Levels, blocks and sightlines

Blocks beginning with 1 are on Level 1, blocks beginning with 2 are on Club Wembley Level 2, and blocks beginning with 5 are on the upper Level 5. Levels 3 and 4 are primarily boxes. Guests cannot freely move between Level 1, Club Wembley and Level 5, so choose the correct product before buying.

First visit

A central Level 1 block gives proximity; central Level 2 gives a more elevated, balanced view.

Value and overview

Central Level 5 can show the whole shape of the event, but the tier is high and steep.

Vertigo

Wembley specifically suggests Level 1 or 2 for guests who may struggle with Level 5.

Away fans

Allocation is event-specific. Cup finals and England matches do not use one permanent away end.

Closest general-admission tier

Level 1 – blocks 1xx

Lower bowl with the strongest sense of proximity. Central side-on blocks suit first visits; rows near the front trade overview for atmosphere.

Premium middle tier

Level 2 – blocks 2xx

Club Wembley seating with a balanced elevated view. Product inclusions and access routes depend on the ticket package.

Highest general-admission tier

Level 5 – blocks 5xx

Wide overview and often lower prices, but the gradient is steep. Wembley advises visitors with vertigo to consider Level 1 or 2.

Event-specific layout

Ends, away allocations and concert floor

Football allocations, neutral finals and concert staging can change the usable blocks. Buy from the event's current map, not an old generic plan.

Wembley entrances, zones and turnstiles

Use the coloured zone, entrance letter, block and level on the mobile ticket. Wembley Park usually feeds the Olympic Way approach, while Wembley Stadium and Wembley Central approach from different sides. Stewards may impose event-specific routes, especially after full-time.

  1. Download the ticket before travelling.
  2. Check block, level, colour and turnstile.
  3. Follow the matching zone signs around the outer concourse.
  4. Join a queue only when the displayed entrance matches the ticket.

How to get to Wembley Stadium

Wembley is a public-transport destination with three main stations. Wembley Park is served by the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines and leads down Olympic Way. Wembley Stadium station is about 400 metres away and one stop from London Marylebone on Chiltern Railways. Wembley Central is served by the Bakerloo line and London Overground.

Leave extra time after major events: crowd-control routes and station queues can make the return much slower than the arrival. Check TfL and National Rail live information, and avoid a tight final connection.

Parking at Wembley Stadium

Event-day parking is limited and must be booked in advance through Wembley Official Parking. The stadium says not to use surrounding streets, which are reserved for residents on event days. Blue Badge parking is also pre-booked through the official parking operator.

Wembley lies inside London's ULEZ. Check the vehicle, charge date and any road closures before driving, and use postcode HA9 0WS only as the area destination—not as proof of a reserved space.

Food, facilities, bags and Wembley Store

Wembley is cashless: food and drink kiosks require card or contactless payment. General-admission Levels 1 and 5 have toilets, bars, kiosks, merchandise and information points; Club Wembley levels add restaurants and premium facilities. Level access is restricted by ticket.

Each visitor may bring one bag no larger than A4 overall: 297 × 210 × 210 mm. Oversized bags are refused; Wembley lists a paid bag-drop outside the Ibis Hotel for some events. Recheck the event page for prohibited items.

The Wembley Store is listed on B1. Accessibility services include wheelchair platforms, accessible toilets and audio descriptive commentary; arrange ticketing and support before travelling.

Food and things to do around Wembley

Olympic Way links Wembley Park station with the stadium and carries the largest event-day crowds. Wembley Park and the London Designer Outlet area provide restaurants, cafés and shops, but bookings, supporter restrictions and closing times can vary.

Choose a post-event meeting point away from the immediate stair and station funnels. Police and stewards may hold or redirect crowds.

Where to stay for a Wembley event

Staying in Wembley Park gives the shortest walk but can be busy and expensive on major-event nights. Baker Street and central London work well for the Metropolitan or Jubilee line, while Marylebone is convenient for Chiltern Railways to Wembley Stadium station. Choose a hotel based on the late return route, not only the daytime journey.

Wembley Stadium Tour

The official Wembley Stadium Tour is sold separately from event tickets. Pre-booking is normally cheaper than buying on the day, and tours can be unavailable or use a changed route around major events. Check the selected date, arrival instructions and accessibility details before travelling. Tour visitors finish near the Stadium Store.

Tickets for Wembley Stadium events

Ticket policy is set by the event owner: for example The FA, EFL, another sports organiser or a concert promoter. Use the seller linked from the official Wembley event page. For football finals, club allocations and eligibility rules may apply; accessible tickets are handled through Wembley Stadium unless the event page says otherwise.

Before paying, confirm the event date, block, level, coloured zone, age rules, delivery method and whether standing is licensed for that specific event. Under-2s are not admitted.

Wembley event-day checklist

  1. Open the official event page and confirm times, ticket seller and entry rules.
  2. Save the mobile ticket and note block, level, colour and turnstile.
  3. Measure any bag against the A4 limit and remove prohibited items.
  4. Check TfL or National Rail live status and preserve time for the return queue.
  5. Arrive 90 minutes early as a baseline; use the event's door time when earlier.
  6. After the event, follow the crowd route assigned by stewards.
